Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)

Electrical Muscle Stimulation is an internationally accepted and proven way of treating muscular injuries. It works by sending electronic pulses to the muscle needing treatment; this causes the muscle to exercise passively.

Electrical muscle stimulation or other wise know as Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES), is the process in which muscle tone and strength is restored to a muscle or group of muscles that are tight, tender, overactive, restricted, weak or deconditioned. EMS is used in our office to reduce pain and inflammation, tone a muscle or group of muscles, and restore normal muscle function back to the body.
